As we enter the New Year of 2022, the sense that we have no control is overwhelming. At the same time, we have been indoctrinated into “setting intentions” for the New Year. We have been told that unless we know where we are going, we will not get anywhere.
I fully believe that currently we are not able to visualize, understand, or even imagine what the future holds. Into this ever changing landscape, setting intentions, making plans, attempting to exert control is simply a recipe for creating even more anxiety.
This week in our Meditation Group, we will practice techniques to “be.” To allow feelings, thoughts, even behaviors and actions. To adjust, moment by moment, to float.
We pause again to Breathe
We pause again to Relax, just a little more.
We pause again to Feel.
We pause again to Watch. Watch Mind. Watch Thoughts. Observe emotions. Be the witness, instead of the doer.
And finally, we learn to Allow.
