Hi, ,
As you might remember, I am at Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in the Berkshire Mountains for a month. Kripalu is a technology free campus, meaning that access to the internet is limited to just a few specific areas and use of devices, even cell phones, is not allowed except in those areas.
This morning I was informed of a mandatory staff working lunch at noon today. We were in session all morning, so I was unable to even send out a last minute email to let you know I would not be able to host the Noon Meditation today. My sincere apologies for this. Last night’s meditation was also a little clunky, because I hadn’t been able to work out the logistics of the
technology.
I sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding. This is truly a magical place – it’s absolutely not like being in the real world. The discussions and learnings taking place are priceless.
We have been talking about “riding the wave” of experience – everything is always rising, cresting or coming down and smoothing out. We’re all on this endless wave and at the same time we are also all part of the ocean. We are not separate from the ocean - even when we are isolated as a drop, as soon as we are dropped back into the ocean, we are the ocean, the drop
disappears.
I share with you this excerpt from the Ashtaravakra Gita, one of the texts we are referencing in the Yoga Teacher Training:
“In me the boundless ocean, the boat of the universe moves here and there, driven by the wind of its own inherent nature.
I am not affected.
In me, the limitless ocean, let the wave of the world rise or vanish of itself. I neither rise nor fall.”
Next week I will have all of the kinks worked out and will be able to be with you for both the Wednesday 6 pm ET Meditation and the Thursday 12 pm ET Meditation. Thank you for your patience. I appreciate each of you immensely.
