Last week we celebrated the Autumnal Equinox – the official beginning of Fall. For me, the equinox is a time of release, renewal and transformation. A time to pause and look within for guidance on anything I may like to change or allow to fall away.
The Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashana, is this week. Rosh Hashana is also a time of taking stock – what worked this year, what didn’t work, what changes would I like to make, what am I ready to release.
Let’s take our practice this week to rest in these
inquiries. I started to write, “contemplate these questions.” I changed the wording to “rest in these inquiries,” because I have found that my mind is only too happy to ruminate, to dissect, to analyze. And I also know that I am getting guidance, over and over again, to get out of the way. To allow myself to receive, rather than to ruminate in my own spinning thoughts. Come practice with me!
Beyond the clouds, the sky is always blue...
The practice is to rest and allow the weather patterns.
