We are in this season of joy, peace and giving. Yet, as we attempt to accomplish more in order to be ready to celebrate, it seems the world is moving faster and faster. This week we'll continue our journey towards cultivating the calm, ease and peace we are all craving.
Calming the body/mind is easiest when we practice resting in our senses. In the present moment, most of the time, there is not a problem. Our senses are never in the past or the future, they are always in this moment.
One of our most powerful senses is
sound. We will explore resting in the field of sound and using music to help soothe and clear our minds. You'll find one of my favorite mantras in the video below - we'll use it in our meditation this week.
Meaning of the Gayatri Mantra:
"O Divine mother, our hearts are filled with darkness. Please make this darkness distant from us and promote illumination within us."
Below are the words. Please don't worry about trying to pronounce or remember
them. I have found it helpful for me to see the words written down.
