This week in our Meditation Groups, let's do some practices to rejuvenate & replenish ourselves after the holidays. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a fresh start and I'm also ready to extend more love and compassion toward myself in 2023.
What
if the only New Year’s Resolution you made this year is to love yourself more?
Loving yourself means stepping out of “the story” and seeing that the real you isn't the person who keeps making and breaking their New Year's resolutions. Extending compassion to yourself, loving yourself, you
give yourself permission to be different and better than the person you've been; you can see beyond the negative stories and recognize that you're more than just the sum of your previous choices and outcomes.
“So let us not look to the distance toward the light, but to remember that any
distant light is just a reflection moving through a tunnel of darkness. A tunnel of darkness which is merely our unconscious world being moved into a state of consciousness.”

Fire Ceremony
On January 30th, I laid a bonfire
and did a cleansing ceremony for the New Year. As part of my ritual, I threw this old broom that my grand puppies had chewed up on to the fire. The broom ended up signifying everything I was ready to let go of.
