We'll practice some grounding, healing meditations this week, as we are, most of us, a raw bundle of nerves. In these times, it's important to allow all of the feels. Practicing what's called "spiritual bypassing," will only result in burying and thereby prolonging our pain. In order to make
room for the light which is still here, we need to allow for the grieving right now.
Brian McLaren, an author and ex minister, talks about the old is dying, the new is being born. It's the darkness of the tomb and the darkness of the womb, at the same time. If you have access to Facebook, you can watch his video here: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/14jdpcMKiJ/ or here:

I totally agree with what Brian McLaren is saying. It feels awful right now. Yet we need to allow all of the emotions, rather than try to mute. To be with what's happening, not from a place of victimhood, but from a place of love and compassion for our own suffering
selves. Let's practice together.
