Hi ,
“This moment requires no thought. Thought is always about the future or the past.”
This statement by Hale Dwoskin gave me pause. Upon reflection, it's true, right?
When my head is spinning with seemingly one billion thoughts, what happens if I pause? Take a deep breath, follow that breath from the beginning, through the middle, all the way to the end. During that pause to breathe, the spinning mind may slow down and even stop.
This week we will explore some of the ways we can practice the art of the pause. As with all things, the more we practice, the more we will become skilled in this task.
