The yogic concept of aparigraha literally means: let everything that wants to go, go, and let everything that wants to come, come.
Many of us spend our lives attempting to control every nuance of our lives. We want to control our thoughts, our emotions, the outcome of our actions, the people around us…
How’s that working for you? I find that in my life, if I am able to let go of wanting to control, I am happier, more joyful and more delighted with what may arise in my life.
The universe is like that. This week in our meditation groups, we’ll explore releasing control, we’ll explore allowing and welcoming. I’d like to switch it up a little and spend our last 30 minutes in a very deep guided meditation called Yoga Nidra. I think we all could use some tender, loving care!
The practice of Yoga Nidra (literally, yogic sleep,) is gentle, healing, nourishing and soothing. I encourage you to lie down for this practice and get really, really comfortable. I hope you’ll join us for this deep guided journey into your essence, your soul.
